I attended summer camp in the 1970's. In order to earn pins and patches for target shooting (.22 rifles) I 'joined the NRA for LIFE'. I now wonder if the scads of 'members' the NRA claims aren't really people who, for decades, signed up for 'free life memberships' , forgot, and are part of 'ghost memberships'.
I am a practicing pharmacist. In the last few months I have seen prices of most generic drugs cost go up several folds without any apparent reason. Example in case Doxycycline, a common antibiotic went up 65 times or 6500% .. what was once $20 is now $1300.. any there are many more examples. Talk about price gouging.. government wants to investigate corner gas station for raising prices by pennies and nobody including ...more »
I am dying slowly, my parents both died at a young age. All had some kind of cancer and now I am fighting rotted bones that no doctors want to deal with. We were poisoned by our own government with their chemical weapons. 1980s and 90s were when they burned these chemicals in Utah. I would go into the mountains hunting, places that use to have animals in abundance and now dead in all these areas where they were burning ...more »
Could you please look into the Common Core Educational initiative and ties to the tech companies that will insanely profit from the same? Basically every school system in the entire nation will be expected to buy computers for every student in the nation at taxpayer’s expense, so that students will be better prepared for the future. However there has never been a single test case regarding the efficacy of the program ...more »
We hired Budget to move our belonging to CA from TN. The day the movers showed up, I learned Budget had subcontracted the moving of our belongings to a company named Blue Jay Van Lines. The day our belongings were to arrive, we received a call stating that the moving van was in an accident near the border of AZ/CA and that we lost everything. We searched the Internet to see if we could locate the accident and contact ...more »
'Lemon' does not just apply to old cars today. The term also applies to 'used/slightly-used' autos with some damages or recall issues. Yet, retailers are, ahem, "allowed" to resale these same cars after an auction/car rental-lease stint to unwise consumers for nearly same price as a 2-3 yr. older car than the current year. Egads, folks! Do you truly think this is a FAIR practice? Than write/call/email your State ...more »
Merchants throughout the New York City (and I assume throughout the country) continue to improperly set minimum amounts to consumers who wish to pay with a Visa or Mastercard debit card. I have been refused to make a purchase on a product (or products) because it does not meet the minimum amount needed to use a debit card. The minimum amount varies from store to store. Only problem is that practice is clearly against ...more »
Your story about Goodwill made me think about a local Retirement Community run by a man who owns a construction company run out of the basement of the "Non-Profit" retirement community. The for-profit construction gets all the contracts for construction/renovations without bid competition and he is raking it in and raking the Residents over the coals. This is a huge place with thousands of people. Maybe you could look ...more »
Is the organized crime of America erased or is it thriving behind the scenes like entering the health care services to grab some of the huge money (1/6 of the economy)? worth a look.
Auto premiums have been skyrocketing for years. If one collects data on the number of accidents along with the number of autos within an area an investigation is needed. In my area less than 1% result in accidents. Even if each accident resulted in both autos being totaled it shows huge profits. I've never been able to review an annual report but I've also never seen an investigative story on this topic. I suspect ...more »
Send undercover workers in to show how residents are cursed, physically and psychologically abused by refusal of basic care. Residents that are unable to feed themselves are starved, the plea for assistance goes unanswered. This is nationwide and is swept under the rug because elders are not revered in this country!
College professors and the colleges requiring students to purchase books the has been authored or contributed to by the teachers or others in the college for the courses. Often I hear from my children and other kids about the requirement for the latest editions that have only minor changes in the book, but because the changes were authored by the teachers, the teachers require the students to purchase the latest edition. ...more »
